Our Corporate Sponsorship Initiatives
Ashburton has long recognised the importance of being part of the local communities in which we work and, where possible, sponsors initiatives which bring benefits to a variety of audiences. From charitable organisations to sporting programmes, we have a sense of responsibility to ensure that our contribution is of value and makes a real difference.

Our Main Focus - Junior Rugby Development
Since 2006, Ashburton's main sponsorship commitment in Jersey has been to support children, from the ages of 8 through to 17, to enable them to benefit from dedicated coaching and professional rugby training. At Ashburton we believe that teamwork is essential to success and what better team sport than rugby? Nurturing potential and fostering the values of responsibility and leadership also echo our corporate philosophy.

Our contribution goes towards various rugby development initiatives including supporting Professional Coaching and Development in association with Jersey Rugby Football Club Academy (JRFCA) and sponsorship of the annual summer Ashburton Leicester Tigers Community Courses.

 

Professional Coaching & Development

Rugby in Jersey seems to be more popular than ever for both boys and girls. Ashburton, Sponsor of Professional Coaching and Development, are delighted to play their part in supporting the Jersey Rugby Football Club Academy in this way.

 

Ashburton Leicester Tigers Community Courses

Ashburton has also developed a strong link with top Premiership rugby team, Leicester Tigers. For the third year running, some of Britain's best rugby coaches came to the islands to run coaching courses in July and August. The week long courses, backed by Ashburton, give young players the chance to experience top class rugby coaching in a professional environment.

 

Tag Rugby Skill Sessions
Under-7 and under-8 players had the opportunity to join the Tigers for tag rugby skill sessions, which help the young players develop their evasive running and agility, handling skills and defensive principles.

 

Rugby Legends Charity Dinner

Ashburton was proud to support this gala fund raising dinner marking the largest event in Martin Corrys Testimonial year. The evening featured special guests from the rugby world, including the star himself, Martin Corry, Martin Johnson and Lewis Moody. The evening raised a significant amount of money for charities both locally and those special to Martin Corry. For more details and photographs click here.
