Nicholas Lee, Director of Investment and Fund Management

Nicholas Lee is Director of Investment and Fund Management at Ashburton (Jersey) Limited. He has direct responsibility for the core services of Asset Management, Cash & Fixed Income and Equities Management through the Specialist Managers. From 1979 to 1988, he worked in the Investment Management team at Barclays de Zoete Wedd, firstly as an investment analyst and then as a pension fund manager. Nick is a Member of the Securities Institute and joined Ashburton in 1988.

Dennis Phillips, Investment Director

Dennis Phillips is an Investment Director at Ashburton (Jersey) Limited. He is personally responsible for Ashburtons discretionary portfolio management service and has more than 35 years experience in global asset management with major international institutions. Prior to joining Ashburton, Dennis was Director of International Asset Management at Banque Belge in Guernsey. From 1987 to 1991 he was Senior Investment Manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, where he managed a multi-billion dollar portfolio, specialising in the Asia Pacific region. Dennis is a fellow of the Securities Institute and an associate member of the CFA Society of the UK.

Peter Lucas, Director and Global Investment Strategist

Peter Lucas is a Director and the Global Investment Strategist at Ashburton (Jersey) Limited. His responsibilities also include the management of the conservative Cash and Fixed Income Service and the bond strategy within the balanced Asset Management Service. In 1987, Peter joined Chase Manhattan Securities as a trainee stockbroker and elected to specialise in the dealing and analysis of fixed income securities. A year later he joined Sheppards (Jersey) Limited and assumed responsibility for the generation of bond strategies and institutional sales. Peter is a Member of the Securities Institute and joined Ashburton in September 1994.

Jonathan Schiessl, Investment Manager

Jonathan Schiessl is an Investment Manager at Ashburton (Jersey) Limited and has responsibility for the team running investments in the Asia Pacific region, including Japan . He obtained a Social Science honours degree, specialising in Economics, at the University of Hertfordshire. From 1993 to 1999, he worked in the City of London , firstly in Insurance Broking and subsequently at Bank Julius Baer. Jonathan joined Ashburton in March 2000.

Nick Skiming, Investment Manager

Nick Skiming is an Investment Manager at Ashburton (Jersey) Limited and has responsibility for the Americas Equity Fund PC and US equities team. He commenced his investment career in 1987 with Barclays Private Bank, and then worked as a Fund Manager at Morgan Stanley Quilter C.I. (formerly stockbrokers Allied Provincial) from 1990 to 1999. He subsequently worked as a Senior Investment Manager at Collins Stewart Asset Managers, Jersey . Nick attained the Securities Institute Diploma in 1992, and is a Fellow of the Securities Institute. He joined Ashburton in January 2002.

Nicky Ludlam, Investment Manager

Nicky Ludlam is an Investment Manager at Ashburton (Jersey) Limited and is part of the asset allocation team which focuses on the asset allocation process for the core services of Asset Management, Cash and Fixed Income and Advanced Portfolio Services (APS). Nicky previously worked for Ernst & Young during which time she qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant before joining Ashburton in November 1993. She successfully ran Ashburton's Asia Pacific Fund before deciding to move direction into her current role.

Richard Robinson, Investment Manager

Richard Robinson joined Ashburton six years ago and is an Investment Manager and is responsible for Ashburton's European Equity Fund. Having graduated from the University of Wales College Cardiff (UWCC), Richard worked as a stockbroker for Abbey National. Richard is an Associate of the Securities Institute, having passed the Investment Advisors Certificate (papers I and II), the Securities Representative paper and the Financial Derivatives exams, he has also passed the Investment Managers Certificate and the Securities Institute Diploma.
