Gavin Fraser, Global Sales Director

Gavin Fraser

Gavin Fraser is Ashburtons Global Sales Director with responsibility for Ashburtons worldwide distribution strategy. Gavin joined Ashburton in 1997 in Jersey and was initially involved in the development of the firms South African business. Then in 2005 became responsible for driving the firms business development strategy in the Gulf region. He has over 20 years financial services experience, having worked for leading financial institutions such as Abbey Life Assurance and Midland Bank Offshore, now HSBC Offshore.

Tom Zambon, Regional Intermediary Sales Manager

Tom Zambon

Tom Zambon is Regional Sales Manager at Ashburton and is responsible for Business Development in the offshore islands. Tom began his financial career with Clerical Medical International in 1985 and joined Ashburton following eleven successful years managing the offshore IFA operation of the Royal Bank of Scotland International in Jersey. By providing ongoing intermediary support he is able to build mutually beneficial relationships amongst the growing number of internationally based intermediaries who use Ashburton investment solutions for their clients. Tom, who is FPC qualified, joined Ashburton in 2004.

Alan Perchard, Intermediary Sales Support

Alan Perchard

Alan Perchard is a Relationship Manager at Ashburton. He was previously a Director at Citigroup with 23 years of service based in London, Brussels and Jersey, where he specialised in the Private and Institutional Banking areas. From 1994 to 2003 he was a Senior Manager with HSBC Investment Management looking after Private Clients and with specific responsibility for offshore services. Alan, who is a Member of The Securities and Investment Institute and an Affiliate Member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, joined Ashburton in 2005.

Pat Nixon, Intermediary Sales Support

Pat Nixon

Pat Nixon is a Relationship Manager at Ashburton. She began her career in London working in advertising as a Media Buyer for a large corporate client. She then moved into banking with HSBC and was transferred by them to Jersey in 1974. Following this Pat moved to Deloitte Haskins & Sells as a Trust Officer working with her own portfolio of clients. Pat took a career break in 1980 to bring up her family and resumed her career by joining Ashburton in 1992.

Philip Childs, Regional Intermediary Sales Manager

Philip Childs

Philip Childs is based in London and is responsible for driving Ashburton's business development strategy in the UK. Philip was Head of Retail at F&C Management Ltd between 1987 and 2002 , where he was involved in several high profile product launches and then Sales Director at iimia plc, before joining Ashburton in 2006. Philip has nearly 30 years in the Industry and has considerable experience of the UK Retail Market.

Terry James, Intermediary Sales

Terry James

Terry James is a Business Development Executive based in London who shares responsibility for driving Ashburton 's business development strategy in the UK market. He has almost thirty years experience in financial services, having spent many of his early years as a Broker Consultant with the M&G Group, before joining Barclays in 1997. He was latterly New Business Development Director on the retail side for Barclays Global Investors focusing upon the Multi-Manager and Discretionary Intermediary market until he left in 2003. Terry has spent the past couple of years helping build the profile of Dawnay Day Quantum, a specialist Asset Management boutique in the UK . Terry, who is FPC qualified and holds the Investment Management Certificate , joined Ashburton in 2006.

Bernadette Saker, Regional Intermediary Sales Manager

Bernadette Saker

Bernadette Saker is a Business Development Executive at Ashburton. She previously managed a team of Sales and Relationship Managers at Royal Bank of Canada (Jersey) Limited. Bernadette began her finance industry career with Midland Bank plc in London in 1986 and transferred to Jersey in 1996 as a Mortgage Advisor. She then moved to Standard Chartered Bank in 1998. Bernadette is IAC qualified and has attained her International Diploma for Anti-Money Laundering Officers. She is an Associate Member of the Securities Institute and also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management. Bernadette joined Ashburton in 2004.

David Christie, Regional Intermediary Sales Manager

David Christie

Dave Christie is based in Johannesburg and is Head of Distribution for the Southern African region. He is responsible for the distribution of Ashburtons range of products and services. His main focus is on developing new business opportunities and maintaining the excellent client relationships Ashburton has in the region. David previously worked with the American based investment house, Franklin Templeton, for 4 years. David, who holds a BLC from the University of Pretoria, has been representing Ashburton in South Africa since 1999.

Ryan Venter

Ryan Venter is based in Johannesburg and is a Business Development Executive representing Ashburton in South Africa. He is responsible for private client and intermediary relationships in Johannesburg and the Kwa Zulu Natal regions. He has been involved in the financial services industry since 1997. His background includes High Net Worth Private Banking, Estate Planning, Investments and Insurance. He joined the FirstRand Group in 2002 as a consultant at Momentum. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from RAU and is a Certified Financial Planner(CFP).

Adam Benzimra, Intermediary Sales

Adam Benzimra

Adam Benzimra is based in Cape Town and is a Business Development Executive representing Ashburton in South Africa. He is responsible for private client and intermediary relationships in the Western & Eastern Cape regions. Since 2001, he has worked in the UK, most recently as investment sales manager at First State Investments where he was responsible for business development in the south and Channel Islands. Upon arrival in the UK, he worked at Baring Asset Management on the retail sales team and, prior to this, as the investment consultant at Marriott Unit Trusts in Cape Town, South Africa, where he was responsible for developing relationships with intermediaries and private clients. Adam is an Affiliate Member of the Securities Institute and holds the Investment Management Certificate.

Claire Morris, Intermediary Sales Support Manager

Claire Morris

Claire Morris is based in Johannesburg and is the Client Services and Operations Manager representing Ashburton in South Africa. She is responsible for overseeing the administration and client servicing aspects of the South African business. Claire began her career in the Financial Services industry in 1996, working for Investec Investment Management Services in Johannesburg. Her desire to gain international experience and see the world led her to London where she worked for Abbey National Treasury Services for 5 years. Claire returned to South Africa in 2002 and joined Barclays Africa to work in Change Management. Most recently Claire held the position of Programme Planner for the Barclays/Absa Integration Programme. Claire holds a BComm from the University of Pietermaritzburg.

Eloise Trewin, Intermediary Sales Support

Eloise Trewin

Eloise Trewin is based in Johannesburg and is a Client Services Administrator representing Ashburton in South Africa. She is responsible for providing support to the Head of Distribution and Business Development Executives in South Africa and for providing investment information and administrative services to existing private clients and intermediaries. Eloise began her career in the Financial Services industry at the FirstRand Group in 2000 working for Momentum. She has a background in Client Services and also in International Banking. Eloise holds a BA (Hons) degree in Psychology and has also completed a Certificate in Sales and Marketing Management. She is currently working towards the Certificate in Financial Planning (CFP).
