Peter Bourne, Managing Director

Peter Bourne joined Ashburton (Jersey) Limited in August 2007 as Managing Director. Having obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town, he went on to join the FirstRand Group, which he has been part of for the past 25 years. Peter has worked as an investment professional for over 20 years and his breadth of experience encompasses investment research as well as institutional and private client portfolio management. Most recently, Peter was responsible for running the investment division of the FirstRand Groups Wealth Segment, of which Ashburton is a part.

Trevor Falle, Director

Trevor Falle is a Director of Ashburton (Jersey) Limited and Chief Executive Officer of FirstRand International Wealth Management Holdings Limited. Prior to joining the Group in 1997, he was the Managing Director of John Govett Management (Jersey) Limited and before then, Marketing Director at both Robert Fleming and ANZ Grindlays in Jersey. He has also worked in the USA and the City of London. Trevor is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute.

Nicholas Taylor, Chief Financial Officer

Nicholas Taylor is the Chief Financial Officer of Ashburton (Jersey) Limited. After graduating as an electrical engineer, Nicholas joined Coopers & Lybrand where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He joined Ashburton in 1994 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Nicholas Lee, Director of Investment and Fund Management

Nicholas Lee is an Investment Director of Ashburton (Jersey) Limited, having joined the company in 1988. He has direct responsibility for the core strategies of Asset Management, Cash and Fixed Income and Equities Management. From 1979 to 1988, Nick was part of Barclays de Zoete Wedds investment management team, where he worked as an investment analyst and later as a pension fund manager. He is a member of the Securities Institute.

Dennis Phillips, Investment Director

Dennis Phillips is an Investment Director at Ashburton (Jersey) Limited. He is personally responsible for Ashburtons discretionary portfolio management service and has more than 35 years experience in global asset management with major international institutions. Prior to joining Ashburton, Dennis was Director of International Asset Management at Banque Belge in Guernsey. From 1987 to 1991 he was Senior Investment Manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, where he managed a multi-billion dollar portfolio, specialising in the Asia Pacific region. Dennis is a fellow of the Securities Institute and an associate member of the CFA Society of the UK.

Peter Lucas, Director and Global Investment Strategist

Peter Lucas is a Director and the Global Investment Strategist at Ashburton (Jersey) Limited. His responsibilities also include the management of the conservative Cash and Fixed Income Service and the bond strategy within the balanced Asset Management Service. In 1987, Peter joined Chase Manhattan Securities as a trainee stockbroker and elected to specialise in the dealing and analysis of fixed income securities. A year later he joined Sheppards (Jersey) Limited and assumed responsibility for the generation of bond strategies and institutional sales. Peter is a Member of the Securities Institute and joined Ashburton in September 1994.

Ian Ling, Director

Ian Ling is a Director of Ashburton (Jersey) Limited and has been with the company since 1992. He has over 40 years experience of the finance industry, having been a partner of London stockbroking firm, Laurie Milbank & Company, a founder member of Channel Islands Portfolio Managers Limited and a former director of Quilter Goodison (CI) Limited. Ian is a Fellow of the Securities Institute.

Bob Turmel, Director International Wealth Management

Bob Turmel is the Director responsible for Business Development and Client Servicing. Prior to joining Ashburton in 2000, Bob was responsible for managing the UK clients of the UBS Private Banking Group and was a member of their European Market Development Team. Between 1981 and 1995, Bob headed up the Private Banking Team of the Chase Manhattan Private Bank in Jersey with personal responsibility for UK and Middle East clients. Bob is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a Member of the Securities Institute.

Gavin Fraser, Global Sales Director

Gavin Fraser is Ashburtons Global Sales Director. Gavin joined Ashburton in 1997 in Jersey and was initially involved in the development of the firms South African business. In 2005, he became responsible for driving the firms business development strategy in the Gulf region and now has responsibility for Ashburtons worldwide distribution strategy. He has over 20 years financial services experience, having worked for leading financial institutions such as Abbey Life Assurance and Midland Bank Offshore, now HSBC Offshore.

Stephen Kearns, Director

Stephen Kearns is a Director at Ashburton (Jersey) Limited. Educated at De La Salle College, he has spent the last 25 years in the Fund Management industry in Jersey. Stephen is a Member of the Securities and Investment Institute and joined Ashburton in September 1999, having previously held senior management positions with HSBC, John Govett and Barclays.

Liam Brenock, Finance Director

Liam Brenock is the Finance Director at Ashburton (Jersey) Limited. Liam is a Fellow of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) having initially qualified in 1997. Prior to joining Ashburton in 1995, Liam worked for Woodchester Credit Lyonnais Plc in London and ABN Amro Trust Company (Jersey) Limited in Jersey.
